Lovely little video of our brilliant day together in a fabulous workshop learning about new travel start up companies and about each other….really a very heartwarming day and I can’t wait to do it again. You can find out more about the event and the day from the Discover Greece website

What do you get when you take 9 travel bloggers, show them the best of classical and modern Athens, take them to the beach along the Athenian Riviera and treat them to tsipouro and ice cream… all in 72 hours?

The result is a snapshot of the best of what Athens has to offer, whether you’re in the capital as part of your summer holiday or on a city break.

A three-day programme, which began with a selection of European bloggers being invited to attend a workshop to highlight the best of Greek travel start-ups – with Discover Greece at the heart of it all! – was only the start of the adventure.

Then the fun really began. An interactive street art evening at Grecotel’s Pallas Athena Hotel was followed by a day on the beach, uncovering the Athenians Riviera in all its blue-flagged wonder. Via an ice cream stop, of course.

On day three, Athens was given the special treatment, first in the form of a classical walking tour taking in the Acropolis and its museum.

Then came a twist. The Gastronomy Museum revealed its culinary secrets through a tsipouro (spirit)-tasting experience, after which the bloggers were treated to the other side of Athens: an urban street art tour.

And all the while, the bloggers’ and Discover Greece’s social media channels buzzed with #BlogtrottersGr activity. The outcome, both of these and the resulting blog posts, have been fantastic.

Lovely video. At first I thought you were falling out of the lift! Can we go back?
