I’m in no way qualified to speak to how safe they are other than being a colored contact lens wearer (given by my optometrist stepfather) for years. As long as their from a reputable contact lens manufacturer and are properly maintained, I’d think they should be fine. Heaven knows those are gorgeous! (What a great pic.)
If she maintains a good hygene routine and doesn’t wear them all the time she will be fine. I have worn contacts (including coloured ones) for 20 years without too many issues. If your eyes don’t get enough oxygen the lens swells and that can cause issues. Take her to a reputable opthamologist for a contact lens check. I have one once a year. They look into your eyes with lenses in and out and they will tell you if all is well.
are those circle lenses? i think i was reading somewhere that you should always get contacts from an optometrist of ophthalmologist, because contacts can come in different sizes & they need to be fitted properly. lots of people here buy contacts from online stores(not a contact store) & there is actually a store that sells them here(colors and different designs like the cat eyes, etc.). my girls want them, but i don’t know how safe they are. i think i’d only let them get it from doctors. of course oldest girl has an astigmatism so she has special contacts for that.

November 23, 2010That is a really nice photo of them. I got some similar, which look good http://www.eyesbright.com/colour-lenses/contrast-coloured-contact-lenses/soft-contrast-green-contact-lenses.aspx and I did some research before i bought them to see if they were safe and contacted them. All the reviews were good and staff were really friendly. All good to me :)!
