All going well. Found a computer in the Information Centre. Fortunately my youngest son´s ear infection is getting better, but he´s not ready to go back in the pool yet. It´s very hot. Lovely hot. Can´t do anything in the heat hot. Which means lying by the pool and belly flopping into the water from time to time.

I did however do something really really stupid yesterday. I went for an early evening run with my 15 year old son. He is in training for a rugby tour and is ridiculously fit. I don´t think it said anything in the training manual about how it is fine to drink a gin and tonic before a long hot uphill run. Neither does it say anything about trying to show off and keep up with a teenager. The point at which I was about to collapse and have a heart attack was the point at which my son said that we should “sprint up the hill”. Obviously I ignored him as I was in the process of dying but when he came back for me and shouted “mum, it´s really bad to stop you will build up lactic acid” I nearly lost the will to live. Who cares about lactic bloody acid anyway? Has anyone ever died from that? Not even sure what it is. I´m just lucky I haven´t died from dehydration.

We´re off to the beach now. Got about 900 pages of my book left. Not good to take a bloody Indian saga on holiday. Too complicated for my brain to cope with. Very good though.

Back soon x x x

Oh you were lucky, G&T I think the manual says is ok AFTER exercise. My friend came round to do a step video with me once, we paused part way through coz she was tired. We had a glass of wine to quench our thirst, then danced around to MTV instead. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. Debs x

Running? Cooking? Sounds too much like hard work for a holiday. Get someone else to take a turn at it!

There is an award waiting for you at mine.

You need to RELAX – that’s what holidays are for – not for trying to keep up with teenagers!! M 🙂
