I have made the most spectacular fashion error ever in the history of fashion errors. I can’t quite believe I am about to admit to this, but when I was with my daughter at the Fashion event last weekend I got massively carried away and actually bought a sparkly dress designed by (wait for it)….

Amy Childs. Britain’s latest top Essex export (apart from Olly Murs). The gorgeous young one with a figure to die for enhanced by fake boobs.

Here she is in one of her designs:-

Well, the dress I bought is in the same material but with less of a plunging neckline designed for those lacking in cleavage like me. Instead it plunges down at the back. In my head, at the time, I thought it might make a good Christmas party dress, but I have just tried it on. Apart from the fact that it is so tight I couldn’t actually get it off without it rolling inside out which meant that the sparkly side was against my skin and peeling it off in the style of a snake shedding it’s skin I managed a full on body exfoliation. I am now skinned. It was like wearing a brillo pad. In fact, when I’d finally got it on, because it’s high necked with shoulder pads (!) it actually looked like I’d dressed up as a brillo pad. I was literally a square of wire wool.

It’s too short. It’s too tight. It shows too much flesh. I can’t get it on or off. It is designed for gorgeous young people. Don’t get me wrong – on the right person it would look really lovely. WHAT was I thinking???

Do you think I can get away with giving it to my daughter for her birthday tomorrow?

OMG Lu, PMSL. If it looks bad on you with your bod, I can’t imagine what it must look like on the average punter.

ha ha = shall I? I can’t compete with Amy though and the thought of having to try and get it off again is just too painful (literally, not metaphorically) Lx
