IT’S CHRISTMAS DAY TOMORROW!
A reminder has just popped up on my computer saying “CHRISTMAS DAY TOMORROW”.
YES I BLOODY KNOW THAT and really don’t need anymore stressful reminders about how much I’ve got to do by then…we finally decorated the tree yesterday….that is how behind schedule I am and in normal tradition, my son said “mum, it looks really shit – like someone’s thrown up on it. Christmas Sick”. Next year, I”m going to leave it au naturel. Maybe in a pot too. I think it looked much better naked (unlike me). I’m not going to show you a photo of it yet…so here’s a few decorations we found on our walk in the park the other day:-
I’m about to teach my Christmas Pie-lattes class with mince pies and mulled wine and instead I’m sitting at my computer in my dressing gown writing this….after that I’ve got to find and wrap all the presents I’ve forgotten I’ve bought, make fudge, go back to the shops at least three times because I’ve lost key presents, wrap the huge amount of crap I’ve bought for the children’s stockings, then this evening go out, drink, eat, laugh, with family and friends….
So to be honest, I have really got nothing to complain about at all – it sounds immensely lovely and I’m going to relish everything about it because I only have the children tonight and tomorrow morning and then they go to their father’s house and my mother and I are going to some friends. It’s going to be fine, but as ever, it’s a funny shaped family we have these days and trying not to feel miserable about losing the stereotype is still hard sometimes.
Anyway, this is just to say that whatever shape and size your Christmas is, big or small, I hope you enjoy every minute.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!
