This is going well then, my new approach to blogging. So far I’ve shown you a photo of a bit of spaghetti stuck on the wall. That’s interesting.

NOTHING to tell you it seems. Nothing at all. Perhaps bullet points will help. Must be something. Lots happened this week. Maybe some photos will help.

– I am now the proud owner of a school leaver.  I feel SO old.  I did think that the leavers ceremony yesterday would be an emotional event, but we sat in a smelly old sports hall and clapped a lot and I was completely fine.  So was he.

– My brother and his wife are going to have a baby later this year. Their first. SO exciting and my children are beside themselves about the thought of another baby around. Phew. Takes the pressure off me. I am very jealous of the amazing maternity stuff around. Just look at her H & M maternity jeans. That blue bit that covers her stomach is attached to the jeans – fantastic. Didn’t have those in my day:-

My 10 y/o son has taken sweets into school for everybody today. Not sure why. Last day of term and nearly his birthday, but I think he hoodwinked his grandmother into lending him some money and now I owe her £10 for all this:-

The teachers will be pleased – the label on the back lists numerous E numbers plus comes with the warning “may have an adverse effect on the activity and attention in children”.

He’s organised a disco for Sunday night at my house. Not sure how I’ve managed to agree to it with quite so little control. I don’t know who he has invited or indeed who is able to come. Why there only appears to be one girl on the list – what sort of disco is that? Why it’s on a Sunday night. Really, I need to pay more attention. Although they do break up from school today – about a month earlier than I’m used to. I am trying not to think about it. Hoping that if I forget to pick them up from school today they can just stay there for a few more weeks and scavenge about. I am not ready for them to be at home all day annoying me.

OH, and one other photo for you – our cat wee’d in my daughter’s shoe – very precisely – almost impressive if it wasn’t so revolting. She thinks it’s because it smelt of her new dog:-

Oh god that picture brings back horrible memories of when my cat used to wee in my bag, my shoes or just generally on items of clothing if I left them on the floor. Must have lost a couple hundred pounds worth of stuff that way and the smell… it lasts for-ever, despite numerous 60degree washes! Good luck with the summer holidays and hope your eldest manages not to get in too much trouble on his holiday abroad!
