I promise you I am not about to become a vacuum cleaner reviewer and present endless blog posts about the pros and cons of various cleaners, BUT I felt it was only fair to write about my favourite vacuum cleaner, given it has served me well for the last at least six years and although I was fully prepared to be open to a rival, I’m afraid this little bundle of power still wins the battle. Without wishing to make any specific comparisons, I find this model just perfect for my household needs. My house is basically covered in cat hair, so needs something to specifically address that. Miele very kindly sent me the updated model to review here:-
It’s powerful and effective with some of the attachments being tucked inside the body of the machine making it easy to move around. It’s comparatively quiet and small, so that it sits on the stairs comfortably, which was a key issue for us. Also great on hard floors – which we have throughout the house.
Vacuum Cleaners have had to change their approach with the EU limit on power consumption and this Complete C3 Cat & Dog Powerline is 1200W, much less than my other one, but still just as effective. They have added instead a rotating Turbobrush and new high-flow AirTeQ floorhead to get rid of pet hairs.
Miele pretty much invented the pet-specific vacuum cleaner and its Cat & Dog models have been cleaning up after pets for well over a decade, although I’m not sure I was aware of that. They even have filters designed to help absorb pet related odours. Wonder if they’ve got one of those for teenagers?
It’s a light, compact and solidly built cylinder cleaner with a 4.5-litre bag capacity. There are three tools on-board under the top cover, an upholstery nozzle, dusting brush and crevice tool, and two floorheads supplied. All the brushes do what they say on the box.
So very happy and would thoroughly recommend it. So simple that even my children can use it (although funnily enough, they don’t!).
