Sadly, this time I wasn’t with my daughter as she was away for half term with her father, however, the next best thing was to be with my girlfriend and her daughter who is currently living in Paris and loving every minute of it. I got to actually step through one of those vast doors into a real Paris flat. Spend time at her favourite cafes, shops, galleries. Therefore we didn’t “do” the Eiffel Tower, Monmartre, Notre Dame….we did slightly more off the beaten track stuff and some of the key attractions too. I’m going to have to get her to write me a blog post about top secret places in Paris to go. We walked everywhere and what I hadn’t realised is that Paris is divided into it’s various arrondissiments in a spiral shape around the river.

We wandered over the lock bridge where lovers leave a padlock with their name on. I looked carefully for the padlock my son and his girlfriend had left last year, but there were too many – think the bridge is going to collapse under the weight quite soon…

We gave up…

So on day one we went to the Dali exhibition and stuffed our faces in about three different cafes followed by a delicious meal out somewhere.

Day Two we went to the Musee D’Orsay which is very cool and I’m going to tell you all about that tomorrow:-

Then I’m going to tell you about Rodin’s house and garden and then all about the food and then about a fabulous hotel….I bet you can’t wait!
