I haven’t posted anything for a while as I’ve been busy doing another Pilates exam – this time for the Cadillac (or in my case, it’s basically half a Cadillac and called The Tower). I’ve passed my exam and now need to build my client base instead of focus on any more exams! So I thought I’d just add a brief post about our November highlights for the memory box.
It’s hard not to mention the budget and all that “Cradle to Grave” stuff feeling a little unbelievable these days – with so many hard working people being stung from all angles. I’m not going to comment any further, except to say that I found Kemi Badenoch’s aggressive response entirely unreasonable. “She started it” was her reaction when questioned. These are two powerful women who have achieved so much – why spoil it with playground behaviour?
It’s been a busy old month for my family in a really good way. We’ve had so many things to celebrate…
My daughter had her 30th birthday party, shared with a friend, followed by a lovely meal out at one of our favourite restaurants, The Fat Badger, which I’ve done a previous review on.
I had yet another birthday – they seem to be coming round far too quickly these days. A low key meal out with the family and drinks in the pub with friends.
We had a fabulous mini-hen day in London with my soon-to-be-daughter-in-law which was fabulous. We took her to get a bespoke lipstick made for her wedding, then out for lunch, followed by cocktail making. So much fun was had with her mother, sister and my daughter.
My youngest son organised a surprise Stag day for his older brother which was a total triumph. When my son chose his younger brother to be his best man I was over the moon. It literally makes my heart burst with joy. Such a lovely accolade and something none of us would ever have imagined would happen all those years ago, when we were going through so much. He didn’t want to have a Stag do initially – they’ve had 13 weddings to attend this year and I think he felt that everyone needed a break. However, it was a low key meet up at a football match, followed by a pub gathering and a party back at theirs – so very simple. No overseas destinations and a vast amount of money involved!
We also had a party to celebrate my son and his future wife”s soon-to-be-nuptials. It’s all very exciting and we seem to be singlehandedly holding the sparkling wine industry afloat in this neck of the woods. I’m not entirely sure that giving blood last week was a good idea – sure there’s more alcohol than blood in my stream atm!
As per usual, I will worry about that in the New Year.
