Well actually it’s not exactly a parcel, it’s my other Grandmother. My mother’s mother. She is going to Canada tomorrow to spend Christmas with her son’s at the ripe old age of 96. Bloody hell. How amazing is that? I hope she doesn’t freeze to death the minute she gets off the plane. It’s minus 20 degrees over there with far too much snow.

All her grandchildren are involved in the mission to get her there, which I think is rather lovely. She was picked up by my brother and taken by train to me. She will stay with me tonight and I will take her to the airport tomorrow. I will pass her into the careful hands of my cousin who will fly with her to Canada. She will deliver her to another cousin and then another on her journey to see her family. Her grandchildren are playing Pass The Grandmother.
