Thank you for the kind invitation to visit the Saint James hotel during the time we were in Paris last weekend. What an experience. A totally unique hotel – part chateau, part family residence – extraordinarily decorated and unbelievably welcoming. A definite meeting of grandeur mixed with intimacy, quirky and elegant, with lovely friendly staff. Each of the 48 rooms are very different, both in style and feel, created by eccentric interior designer Bambi Sloane is described as “crazy chic”. It’s in the 16th arrondissement – on Avenue Bugeaud and very private.
The outside is splendid – here we are entering the building and look – you see? I told you it was cold!
My friend and her daughter in front of the entrance:-

The lobby! Good grief. Just my colours:-

Up on the first floor looking down – loving the red carpet and matching red lacquered doors to each room:-

We had an amazing breakfast in the gorgeous dining room – I didn’t take a photo as lots of people were having a private Sunday morning, but I did manage to get a photograph of the breakfast area:-
Me and daughter’s friend on the stairs – for some reason I look like I’m wearing flippers!:-
