*Sigh* SIX MONTH’S MORE….
How is everyone? This is exhausting. Although I guess we always expected a one step forward two steps back “Eat Out To Help Out” followed by “Fuck Off And Go Home.”
At least we tried.
Now, speaking as a mother of young adults, I know that the new curfew on pubs and restaurants simply won’t work because they will all start drinking earlier and then pile back to someone’s house (mine) for a sleepover. It will also mean far more people mingling on the street and getting Ubers, buses and trains all at the same time, so I don’t expect that to work at all and a stricter lockdown is going to be just around the corner, sadly.
As we still have a few more weeks of mixing six of us we need to make the most of it, before we all have to kill the turkey and pretend we are holding a funeral for thirty over Christmas. The good news is that my children might actually remember something of Christmas Day because they haven’t been at the pub until 3am on Christmas Eve with all their friends.
In the meantime, we just need to try and find creative ways to all keep buoyant. Not easy, but with any luck a vaccine is on the way.
Did a sunrise walk in the park a few days ago. Well worth the early rise of 6.30am and the good news is that over the winter months we can get up even later to see the spectacle:-
