Sodastream, the iconic drinksmaker, has re-launched this year with a range of modern designs and a variety of new and classic flavours.
I was delighted to be invited to try out one of their new products and test out the new flavours on my very excited children. FIZZY DRINKS ON TAP! What could be better. I was pleased because they have included several sugar-free varieties as well as the old favourites such as Cola and Lemonade and also you can recycle the gas cylinders and avoid a lot of waste regarding the usual throwaway plastic bottles.
We are still going through the trial pack of flavours but just for the moment here is my youngest child eagerly testing the cola flavour:-

October 21, 2010These used to be so big in the 80’s and then went out of fashion. Now to come back in again. Amy has been pestering me for one. Fizz and hyper don’t mix though so I’ll have to have a good old think!

October 22, 2010Apparently, if you get a cheapish bottle of Aussie white plonk and whizz it up, you’re left with a something fairly close to champagne.
Not done it myself, but 5live ran it as an experiment, and most people they asked couldn’t tell the difference between the real stuff and the sodastream impostor in a blind test.
Got to be worth a go now that you’ve bought one !
