Saturday morning. My floor is covered in beer and boys. Teenage boys all spread about in a messy way. My son had a “it’s so not a party, it’s just a few mates coming round, it’ll be fine” gathering last night and this morning, you could have fooled me.

I went out for a bit with the other two children. Came back about 9.30pm, put them to bed and went down the road for a couple of hours with my brother and his wife. When we got back his “it’s so not a party” was in full swing. With loud music and scantily clad girls all strewn about. We managed to clear the kitchen in minutes. They all went off into the garden and then came back and then suddenly it was 3am and we were all dancing around together in a drunken manner. SUCH FUN. But now I feel awful. My brother and his wife were meant to be helping me control them, but instead, it seemed that we were the most badly behaved and drunk of all of our guests. Breaking glasses and trying to show off and dance in a ridiculous manner and here is my responsible adult support sister-in-law just before I called a cab to take them home:-
