TIDY YOUR ROOM!!

The one thing I asked my oldest son to do before he went off travelling for three weeks was to tidy his room in anticipation of his Godmother arriving to stay in it.

He promised me that he would. No question. Absolutely.

I got back from France after he’d left and did a quick check.

Then I sent him a text:-

“I am so disappointed. U promised to clean your room and you haven’t. Now I’ve got to rush and clean it before she arrives and that wasn’t the deal at all”.

His reply:-

“I cleaned my room! I moved everything to the sides. I can’t put all my clothes away because I’m moving around so much! With me being at uni I can’t have my room all tidy because there’s no point in me putting all my clothes away because next minute I’ll need to pack them up again. Maybe she can sleep in sister’s room as hers is tidier as she has all her clothes packed away and she can sleep in mine? How was France?”

Me:-

“You didn’t even make the bed. There are two wet loo rolls and mess everywhere. Not what I was expecting and now off to a memorial and really pissed off”.

Him:-

“The loo rolls are from my travelling bag that I took to Asia – they’re not wet”

LIKE THAT’S THE F*G POINT???

Anyway – here is a photo of the current state of his room. I had to put my friend in my bed and sleep up there myself.

What do you think? You can see a bit of the carpet so perhaps he’s right and I’m wrong??
