WEEK 9 OF LONDON LOCKDOWN…or is it Week 10?.
Bit late with my post again this week as the days, weeks, months all start merging into one big BORING bubble. Another week and another bit of baking and too much drinking, together with photos of flowers and animals in our local park.
Here are the animals in our local park:-
I’ve also been planting seeds and staring at them until they grow. It’s quite exciting really:-
Now we have all become Armchair Experts on the C-19 situation the conversations are beginning to get quite tedious as everyone has an opinion and not one person on the planet has the answers. When will we travel? When can we sit in a beer garden safely? When can we see more than one other person? The vagaries of the government instructions have meant that everyone is interpreting their freedom differently. The young things are beginning to reclaim their lives, clearly thinking “I”m really sorry if you die, but we’ve tried our best and now we have to get on with our lives.” Anyway, now they can all blame Dominic Cummings if it goes tits up.
I’ve been doing a few complimentary Zoom Pilates classes. The reason that they are free is because they are shit. Not only should I not be in front of the camera, but in the last class my screen kept freezing and my poor friends were stuck in side plank for far longer than they would have liked.
The Friday Family Night has now completely dissolved. One of my children was out socially distancing in the park instead of playing cards with us. Extraordinary. My daughter and I got a takeaway from our local pub, which was delicious, but such a shame not to be sitting in their eating it.
My daughter’s baking contribution this week, now that we have some yeast was focaccia – very impressive:-
Thank goodness for the weather and being able to get out and walk with friends. So sad that we would usually be at the Hay Festival right now, my friends and I. They are doing a reduced digital version, some great talks and it’s all free.
More boring photos of flowers:-
A friend very kindly did a chocolate drop:-
This keeps us going….Sparkling Sunday – celebrating another week we’ve managed to stay alert (just) and keep social distancing:-
Nothing else to report this week! Next week I will have absolutely nothing to say!
