I spent a very enjoyable afternoon having tea at the Landmark Hotel in London, adjacent to Marylebone station the other day. The Landmark London is one of the capital’s leading five star luxury hotels. Originally opened as The Great Central Hotel in 1899, it is one of the last of the great Victorian railway hotels and comprises 300 guestrooms, inclusive of 51 suites. It incorporates two unique restaurants, a sophisticated bar, world class banqueting, conference and events facilities and a destination spa and health club, providing customers a luxurious home away from home.
We had afternoon Tea in the Winter Garden in the stunning surrounds of the Winter Garden restaurant, situated underneath the hotel’s central eight storey glass roof atrium. We pigged out on an assortment of sandwiches, freshly baked scones and French pastries, as well as a selection of freshly-brewed leaf and herbal tea, and a glass of Champagne to top it all off. For chocolate-lovers, they offer a Chocolate Afternoon Tea, and the hotel also serves a delicious gluten-free afternoon tea.
In time for the world renowned Chelsea Flower Show, the Capital’s luxurious five-star Landmark London has introduced a decadent Chelsea Flower Show inspired afternoon tea, available throughout the course of the show 18th-24th May 2015.
