I have to take my hire car back today because my own car has been mended after it’s prang and is due back. I don’t really want it back because I don’t like it and I don’t really want to go back to the hire company because they made me feel old and therefore I don’t like them either. I was chatting to the gorgeous man who was sorting out my paper work and I was thinking “hmmm, he’s quite sexy” and then, after filling in the details from my driving licence he said “do you know, the amazing thing is that your licence was issued three days after I was born?”. HOW DEPRESSING IS THAT? Don’t tell me things like that. It made me feel ancient.

I do try hard to think about the global financial crisis and the bigger picture and life beyond the front of my computer screen at all times, but all too often, I suddenly find that I am trying harder not to let my age wrinkle my spirit as much as my face.

Ouch I bet that comment stung! Still, take heart, at least you’re thinking along the right lines – recognising a sexy bloke when you see one! Flick xx
