WOOHOO. How exciting. Not only have I been asked to appear at the BritMums Live Conference this year in the Blogger’s Studio event on Friday at 16:15 to discuss Can You Have It All? with a group of bloggers and THE Allison Pearson, but I’m also going to be taking the “Blogercise” stretch and tone class on the Saturday morning to help get the blood flowing before the full-day of workshops, discussions and sessions.
My children can be either terribly levelling or just plain mean though on occasions such as this. I was delighted to be involved but when I showed them the link to the site with the list of speakers and a photo of me – they just laughed. A lot. Told me the photo was awful – I looked “minging”, which I think is a little harsh. So I asked my younger brother what he thought and he said he thought I looked like somebody had drawn a little face on their finger and attached some hair – which was rich coming from him considering he told my older brother he was being harsh with his comments….mostly along the same lines but with the added quote:
“Blogging isn’t writing. It’s graffiti with punctuation.”
So. I’m not going to ask anybody else what they think.

January 24, 2012I think they all need a clip around the back of the head! You look lovely, as always.
I may have to skip your class – jetlag and all that! Oh wait, I’ll have been in England for quite a while by then. Darn! May have to drag my lazy bones over then.

January 25, 2012You look lovely, I’m sure the kids would be very upset if you didn’t encourage them. Never mind, that’s kids and brothers for you.
Have a great time & ignore the buggers!

January 27, 2012Great photo! You look famous already. Family always tries hard to keep one in his/her place. They are envious, that’s what they are.
