So we do at least get to spend Christmas with our nearest and dearest which is good news for everyone (I think?). My mother is desperate to get out to join us all for Christmas, I just hope it doesn’t mean we put her at any risk. She wants to come to the pub with us on Christmas Eve – who am I to tell her it’s a potential risk? Surely it’s her decision if she wants to put being together with family above her own health. Anyway, we all have agreed that no virus could survive a night out with my mother at the pub so she should be fine. Β So hopefully there won’t be any Christmas Tears! (get it??).
At least my son in Manchester will be looking forward to coming home for Christmas now, I was a little worried he was having too much fun with all his housemates to come back. He can’t go to the pub there as it will be in Tier Three, but can go to the pub in London, Tier Two.
This somewhat lighter lockdown has been a lot easier for all of us as we’ve been able to get out and about – hence no weekly updates! I have absolutely nothing of interest to report. Life has become very small and somewhat boring and I seem to have taken to photographing the daily progress of my indoor plants which all seem to be thriving with the attention!
I’m growing lemons for my gin and tonics, olives for the martinis and coffee beans for the espresso martini’s!
And a few random other ones, such as my splendid orchid:-
My cat disguised as a salad bowl:-
And my double hibiscus! Β Hopefully that means good luck!
