Every so often I get one of those fantastic PR invitations that are difficult to turn down….would you like a bit of spending money to go and do some activities in Westfields? An offer like that really didn’t need much consideration…not when there’s so much Christmas shopping to do.

You can even go ice skating – we booked an early morning slot. I didn’t get photos of us in action because I need both hands to cling on to the edges, but here is a photo of the rink and then my daughter and I posing together by the rink:-

We popped into Tiffany’s to buy my Christmas present (well my brother says that when you’re single you have to buy presents for yourself – it’s only fair and you would have spent lots of money on someone else so why not cheer yourself up – I’m not convinced though – I did feel like Mr Bean opening presents I’d bought myself one of the first years after my divorce – anyway – I bought the cheapest thing I could find in there – a 2014 little diary – the perfect gift for a Social Media Director who is supposed to have moved her calendar online years ago!! Still using paper in this day and age?? Honestly….so retro:-

It’s a good way to start developing those Christmassy feelings….just don’t leave it too late or the hoards might make you feel a little less “peace on earth” and “goodwill to all”.
