I have decided that I am going to live permanently on the Disney Dream cruise liner where the sun shines and everybody is happy and there are no problems. At. All.

This is because I have come back to yet more drama and it is frustrating and mystifying and frankly, boring. I thought things were calming down a little but they don’t appear to be after all. It seems that whilst I was away things got out of hand. Builder Bloke argued massively with his ex wife. My ex husband got involved and then BB and my ex ended up having several huge arguments. So, that leaves only me left then, to wade in…. or run away.

Concentrate now if you’re still reading (for those of you already confused my ex husband is married to my boyfriend’s ex wife):-

APPARENTLY my ex husband has accused Builder Bloke of lying because he told his ex wife that at my son’s 18th birthday party my ex husband told me that he was still in love with me and then she told my ex. Are you still following? What I find extraordinary is that somebody must indeed be lying. Builder Bloke has denied saying such a ridiculous thing, but it is either him or her and why would either of them say that when it isn’t true? Who is telling the truth?

So you see. I need to go and talk to Pinocchio’s father all about how to behave in life – I would dearly love it if the one telling fiblets suddenly wakes up with a massively long nose.

In the meantime, I’ve received a page long typed letter in the post from my ex today. What is the significance of posting me a letter do you think? It’s not registered, but is at least signed. Does it mean more than an email? It outlines his situation. Advising me what is likely to change and telling me that I should re-train. Why should I do that? He encouraged me to start my training all those years ago. Why change now? Why would I waste all that time and effort and anyway I love my job. Perhaps I should tell him I’ve decided to retrain as a doctor. That should take a while.

He also says “the children have told me that you write a Blog, but I’m not sure whether this is paid work or a hobby?” Why is he asking me that? It’s all very mysterious and is making me frankly very, very nervous.

Oh dear, not what you needed at all. It sounds like your ex is trying to figure out if he can reduce maintenance esp. if he is telling you to retrain and then asking about the blog and if it is paid work. Hmmm, not sounding good at all, sending snowy hugs from Finland x

Good grief, does he ever give it a rest. He certainly still has something going on there, so perhaps he did say he was still in love with you. It’s a fine line between love and hate, as they say. (You know I’m just winding you up;-) But seriously, he’s probably worried that you’re making money from the blog and not telling anyone about it.
    You wish…

Exactly. I wish……and you can’t add him into the equation……he DEFINITELY didn’t say it. Lx

Tell ex your blog is not paid work but sometimes you get to go to Disneyland. That’ll confuse him….

How old is he? Five? FFS, do you not sometimes feel like you are watching over a kindergarten where all the children are related to you in one way or another, yet the best behaved are the ones you physically gave birth to?

Yup. Most of the time. Worse than being a playground monitor. Nightmare. Lx

Blimey, poor you getting back to all that! Try and pretend you’re still drinking mohitos somewhere else if possible! I bet the ex still has a soft spot for you but that’s his problem. I agree with the others that he’s probably trying to find out if he can cut maintenance payments – remain mysterious about all income and why on earth should you retrain? You love your job so s*d him xx

Yes, if I close my eyes I’m still drinking conk cocktails – it would be such a waste of my time to retrain and hopefully one day I will make decent money from my career Lx

What is incredible is that you were able to keep the existence of the blog a relative secret until now, given its popularity in the blogosphere and mentions in the media.
I just experimented by googling you by your real name and your married name – the blog doesn’t come up. I did, however, also try putting Lulu in front your maiden name and there it was.
I know if I were in his place, I would try to look for it, but maybe women are more curious creatures.

I agree. It’s not as if I didn’t mention it to him ages ago, but I’m not sure whether he’s at all interested. Lx
