For my son’s 14th birthday we got tickets for Eminem – his favourite artist and the four of us went. Me and my three children. What an adventure and I thought I’d feel really old, but in reality Eminem is only 8 years younger than me, so in fact I wasn’t the oldest person in the audience.

We had great seats. Quite far back but facing the stage and obviously seated as I’m too old to stand in the mosh pit and get squashed and covered in beer…but I have to say the sound wasn’t very good and whilst I thought this was because I was old and didn’t know any of the words, I really do think it wasn’t very clear and should have been better considering what we paid for the tickets.

An amazing set – he’s REALLY fit now. Has to be I guess – he did back to back songs without a break – he’s looking very strong. Photos to follow when my upload is working which it isn’t at the moment.

But guess who made an appearance?? Doctor Dre!! Woohoo. My favourite – if you haven’t seen how fit he is in his “I need a Dr (is that the title?) video I strongly advise you to take a sneaky look – it’s the one he sings with Rihanna, but I guess that was his song and not Eminem’s so it didn’t happen.

My favourite song is “I’m Not Afraid” which he did as his second to last song – amazing. Of course there were lots I didn’t know and it took us hours to get home and my ears were ringing like an old person on return but it was all worth it to be with my kids who loved every minute.

I’ll do a proper write up when my photos are up, but just wanted to mention because I’m feeling like a super cool mum!!!!
