I’m in Costa Brava on a family blogger trip with my 12 year old boy which is a lovely way to spend half term – even if on arrival it decided to piss with rain and not stop for the whole entire rest of the day.
Owing to the inclement weather we drove straight to Girona for lunch from Barcelona airport which took about an hour and a half, had a very brief impromptu guided tour, walking around all the charming parts of the city, up to the cathedral, via all the wonderfully characterful windy pathways and terraces:-
and then a very long lunch at a wonderful local restaurant called Cafe Le Bistrot – what an amazing location for a restaurant – imagine what it would have been like if we had been able to sit outside in the sunshine:-
Here we all are with the team – delicious food – especially the chocolate mousse (which I’ve posted on to Instagram) and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere to enjoy our long lunch whist it rains even more outside:-
Splendid old fashioned cash register (with eye candy attached):-
