My baby brother is 40.
This is a very depressing turn of events. He is feeling old. Which therefore makes me feel very old. So I sat next to my mother instead.
We had a lovely family evening where we all amassed from differing parts of the country to celebrate his birthday on Thursday and as usual my youngest made a splendid cake.
We have a mammoth year this year for BIG birthdays – my mother is 70, my brother is 40, my son is going to be 21, my daughter is going to be 18, my youngest is about to be a teenager AND MY GRANDMOTHER IS GOING TO BE 100!!!!!!
How amazing is that?
Not for this latest generation I guess who are all going to live to be over 100 – but it’s still a big deal for us lot.
