So. In my new spirit of chaos rules I am attempting to pack, clean, sort, wax, pedicure, buy suncream – all in the next few hours. Waxing luckily I did yesterday. Cleared my diary. Took pain relief. Wished that I’d bought myself a burkini instead of something a little more revealing (revealing meaning above knees and below belly button). Also got cat sitters and friends staying in my house to leave notes and keys for…..

Anyway. We are off. Any minute now. Ten of us. TEN. OMG. Two adults and 8 kids. To stay in a smallish villa with not enough beds. For two weeks. To Portugal. Escaping from the Olympics and the weather.

I will hopefully be able to add posts from there. Pictures of sun, sea and sand. Prawns and rose wine. Laughter. Mess.

Lovely.

Oh. Did I mention who it was that I’m going with?
