Happy Monday to you all.

My house is an absolute tip but all my chicks are back in the unbelievably messy nest for a minute. The problem with having two children of university age is that their summer has already started and it’s going to go on for FOUR MONTHS. My other child is in the middle of exams. This is not a good combination in a small space. Trying to manage noise levels and revision is proving to be impossible.

My house has been reduced to a dumping ground as my son has moved back in but no longer has a bedroom because his younger brother has moved in to it. Why didn’t I think all this through before?

Just look at the state of my sitting room and the worrying thing is that I don’t know where to put any of it. Shed maybe?

R stuff back

My daughter made it back safely from Portugal looking very relaxed and bronzed. I’m so proud – she even bought me a present…can’t imagine why anyone would lovingly decorate something of this nature? Very useful though – when I start drinking beer:-

Then here we have evidence of having a girl back in the house. Forever cutting up little bits of paper to make cards for her friends:-

A mess

And turning the kitchen upside down to produce fabulous cakes – also for her friend:-

But still, I’m happy – “messy house, happy soul” and all that – and I have some lovely roses in my garden, so all is good in the world!

I have a pile of that young manly mess in my upstairs hallway. Right outside the punk rocker’s room. Why he can’t just move it a few feet into his bedroom is beyond me. Sigh.
