Happy Valentine’s Day to you all. I hope you are wallowing in a bath full of red roses, swathed in candlelight and stuffing your face full of chocolates. Unfortunately that didn’t quite happen to me – as I sat in my bath this afternoon indulgently eating marmite on toast and drinking tea, I accidentally dropped my entire cup of tea in the bath with me – consequently yellow water and crumbs from my marmite on toast had to compensate for rose petals which didn’t quite work for me.
I have made my choice of competition winner for the lovely box of Rococo chocolates:-
There were over 50 entries, at different posts and/or sites and we had some very good answers. But there was one outstanding response – she wasn’t sure she wanted to enter – didn’t want to get the sympathy vote. I told her not to be ridiculous. Sympathy votes work well at times like this and so, the prize goes to my lovely friend who is having to go through yet another round of chemotherapy, her winning response to my question:
“You know you’re in love when”….
is:-
“You know when you are in love when… you can hardly move, you can’t think, you can’t function but something in you tells you to keep going through the storm – despite the tears – for you are in love with life itself xx
She started a blog recently. You should check it out:- Jo Blogz. She’s written a recent post about meeting HRH The Duchess of Cornwall at Anna’s event and also writes movingly about the how she has coped with the days leading up to the event with yet another round of chemotherapy and about how awful she was feeling during her treatment. She’s an amazing person with a wonderfully strong spirit and if anyone is going to beat bloody cancer, she will. She deserves to win the box of chocolates more than anyone else in the world.
