What a horrible accident to happen. Really not a good idea to have set out in that fog. It was a little scary to watch the footage and hear that he may have intentionally diverted away from the train running across the bridge…..because I was on the second train that crossed the bridge after the crash. Two people died, including the pilot, but it could have been an awful lot worse if it had crashed into the train and/or the bridge. I was meant to be in a car that would have been in Vauxhall at exactly that time if it hadn’t been for the fact that I decided to take my daughter to school because she was grumpy and needed some attention….

Typical that just as I start commuting things start happening – first helicopter crash in 100’s of years in central London and now this morning a train is on fire at Victoria Station – fire and brimstones AND I”VE GOT TO GET TO WORK.

THEN I’M FURIOUS WITH HMV and their total lack of regard for customers by selling their vouchers even up to yesterday when they knew full well that they weren’t going to be able to honour their responsibility – that is tantamount to stealing in my book. My children have vouchers they can’t use. My brother has money he has spent which if he’s lucky he can redeem via his credit card but what a pain and I’m not going to say I told you so by writing my miserable post pre Xmas about why you should never buy vouchers as presents….

It caused virtual riots in the shop yesterday as customers refused to leave until they could spend their vouchers – why couldn’t they just let people choose some products? I don’t understand and even worse the company has denied any wrongdoing, but to be honest I think it’s appalling that it struggled on through Christmas pretending to customers that all was well and taking as much money as they could before announcing the news.

Disgraceful and a very sad way to end a career.
