A group of us went to see the Lambeth firework display at Brockwell Park, hosted by Westworth Kemp on the evening of Saturday 4th of November and it was a dazzling sight to behold. The organisers of this fabulous display can rest assured their efforts did not go unnoticed, with a marvellous bouquet of food and drink outlets and an explosive band playing a crescendo of crowd-pleasers. A veritable festival of fireworks.
Not only was there an eclectic mix of fireworks – all colours, shapes, sizes and sounds – they were accompanied by the backdrop of ultimate blockbuster soundtracks from the most-loved movies from the past few decades. This made for a display apt for families, friends or a romantic evening with a loved one.

There was plenty of food and drink to select from with a number of different reasonably priced bars and food outlets. The tickets were not expensive to get in either with £3 for a child and £6.50 for adults. Delicious choices were plentiful from wood-fired pizzas from ‘Dough & Deer,’ your favourite meat from any of POP Brixton’s favourites or a tantalising take on mac ‘n’ cheese from the aptly named ‘Mac to the Future’.
From young to old, ferris wheel to catherine wheel, it wasn’t just the fireworks that went off with a bang. A t’rrific night for all. What a banger!
Thank you Lambeth we will be back – bring on next year!
