We spent our last day walking by the beach, swimming, having lunch and coffee and generally just enjoying our time all together. There are quite a lot of these scary looking “jellies” in the sea:-

In the evening I caught up with some other old friends. She and I met during ante-natal classes and spent a lot of time together during the first few year’s of our now 17 year old boys.

She still looks EXACTLY the same. Completely beautiful. Not fair. Gorgeous house. Gorgeous husband. Gorgeous kids. She’s a successful jewellery designer AND a Vlogger (not sure if that’s what she’d call herself but when she posts her next Youtube video I’ll show it to you).

I’ve got a lovely photo of her in her studio, which looks like a grown-up sweet shop. We took various pictures of us together, but I look SO awful compared to her, even after she kept giving me top tips like stick your chin out and look slightly up and move your arm away from the side of your body – she looks gorgeous in all of them and I look like I’m doing an impersonation of a chicken:-

In the meantime, off to Sydney today, to spend time with some other lovely old friends. Very sad to say goodbye to my friends in Melbourne. Will be hard. We will cry. Sad but true. Still. I’ll see them all again in the summer when they come over, so it’s going to be fine. Sad for my youngest son too. He’ll miss his mate. Oh well. Life’s rich tapestry and all that.

Hi! I’ve been catching up.. sorry to see that your holiday in Melbourne is almost over. I loved the easter cake, and of course the story of the trip to Neighbours land. Was actually surprised to hear that it is still going – I think I last saw an episode in 1994 – bet it wouldn’t really take me long to catch up, though!

It would take you no time at all. In fact six people have had amnesia and there have been 25 weddings and 28 deaths. That’s all you need to know. Lx

Sounds fab although I don’t think I could go in the sea with creatures like that in it. ;0)
