My daughter is a HUGE fan of Olly Murs and last week we went to see him perform live at Hammersmith Apollo. I thought it best if she did the review:-
“I’ve been lucky enough to experience the amazing Olly Murs two night in a row last week. On Thursday evening, Olly played at Hammersmith Apollo.. The venue was packed full of girls (and my 10 year old brother – his first concert ever and my mum). It was the best concert I’ve ever been to. He danced his way around stage with charm and joked and chatted with the audience. He sang most songs from his album, (which is incredible) and a couple of cover songs including “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz and a Stevie Wonder medley, including “Superstition”. He managed to get everyone on their feet for the whole thing right from the beginning, even making me cry.
His concert was fantastic and I recommend it to everyone.
The next day, a friend and I went to the Embankment to try and meet him, we followed his tweets, in the hope of bumping into him. Rushed to Wagamama’s when he said he was there but unfortunately we just missed him, so we decided to wait outside the ITV studios, as he was going to be on the Paul O’Grady show later that evening. We were talking to a lovely couple in the queue and they were kind enough to offer us there 2 spare tickets. We waited outside for hours to get in, but it was completely worth it! The seats were great and it was such fun, there was a hilarious man who entertained the audience in the breaks. We were able to watch Olly again for the second time in 24 hours, and yet again brilliant…he even waved at us and told us he loved us!”
