I wrote a post about our day onboard a very very big boat – sadly it remained attached to a mooring in Southampton rather than was set free to wallow about in the Caribbean somewhere, but still – it was one of those days that was bigger than I expected somehow for lots of reasons. Firstly, I had a thoroughly enjoyable bonding experience with my 13 year old boy who was actually deeply impressed with all that the ship had to offer and has written his own post, which I shall upload separately to give it it’s due importance.

Secondly because it got a little old band of bloggers back together who hadn’t seen each other for a while – most importantly Linda from “You’ve Got Your Hands Full” who very sadly lost her beloved husband recently and was just for the first time stepping back out into the big bad blog world. She’s written a lovely post about it here called “Finding my blogging mojo on a day with friends on the high seas (well almost)”

Thirdly because we met new friends, including the lovely Sally Gunnell – people like Kate From WitWitWoo and her son Dexter who were great fun to sit next to for lunch and she has written a very funny post (especially about giving Sally a few exercise tips) entitled “A Taste of Independence of the Seas” and I finally had time to catch up with Mari from Mari’s World and her two gorgeous twins whose birthday it was so having fed them full of cupcakes and then lunch, we then stuffed them even more full of the biggest choclatey-est cake I have every seen.

FOURTHLY it has made me want to go a little bit further on a cruise ship with my kids – I could see it working for us.

ANYWAY, I have a very posh video with titles and everything to show you from our blogger day onboard The Independence of The Seas – it’s the one in which I feature very little:-
