PALLAS ATHENA – NEW BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN ATHENS REVIEW

We stayed in the new Pallas Athena avant-garde five star boutique hotel in central Athens that only opened this year, part of the Grecotel Group.

Found in the very heart of Athens, Pallas Athena embodies all that Athens has become – a new, hip, creative space that represents a new experience.

It is located right in the heart of the historical centre, next to Athens Town Hall and just a short walk away from The Acropolis and the New Acropolis museum, the old city (Plaka) and most of Athens sights and attractions. So ideally suited for a luxury stay within walking distance of everything, including much of the hip nightlife – trendy bars and restaurants located nearby. It doesn’t have a pool, but the beach is twenty minutes away and you can go to Yabanaki beach, which is private and enjoy the facilities there.

As soon as you enter the building you are consumed with impressive pieces of artwork and designer furnishings. Each room has a unique style including graffiti decorated suites and unusual pieces.

They have a little shop and display area with wonderfully designed products all mostly from their traditional farm in Crete called Agreco, including body care products and local jams:-

The elegant dining room and lounge bar on the first floor is a lovely space – I especially enjoyed sitting out on the balcony enjoying a riot of local flavours for breakfast:-

We were treated to a cocktail party and got to meet a local street artist called Andreas Tsourapas – we even had a go at doing some graffiti – not sure we were that impressive to be honest:-
