RATHFINNY ESTATE

I am only just beginning to feel human again after the party of the year was held on Saturday night at Rathfinny Estate in Sussex. It was Mark Driver, the owner’s 50th birthday party and I was privileged enough to be invited to help him celebrate. SO amazing to see it again since we planted vines there last year. Such progress has been made, it’s incredible.

They bought the land in 2010 and the intention is to have 400 acres of vines planted by 2020, eventually producing over a million bottles a year of some of the world’s truly great sparkling wines.

Well if that is their intention they had better not invite us lot down again. We would drink it all in a weekend and that wouldn’t go down well with their clients I’m sure.

The evening started off in their fabulous The Tasting Room, which is an amazing space with stunning views (and is available for hire for corporate away days or private functions).
