I went with some very good friends of mine to a school reunion and we had a great time. My school was in Hong Kong, so it’s great that there are a smattering of us still left in the UK to get together from time to time.  Laughing with the smattering of teachers about what we all used to get up to whilst all at school in Hong Kong. My old PE teacher has gone from having the lowest maintenance, flattest longest, straightest hair ever in the world to the biggest, highest maintenance bouffy curly hair ever – which actually makes her look younger than she used to, but still took a bit of getting used to…..

Another of our PE teachers reminisced about how he used to love being on trampolining duty best because we’d all be jumping about in cheesecloth tops with no bras on!! (although he particularly recalled other people’s wobbly bouncy boobs, not mine….unsurprisingly – don’t think mine would even wobble on a trampoline to be honest, but all pretty inappropriate anyway).

The guy who organised it is now nearly a Brigadier. Gorgeous. Married to someone else I knew from school. He was the first guy I ever french kissed – I remember thinking how revolting – all slimy – although obviously I didn’t say that to him – he’s a really lovely guy and I asked him if he remembered that we’d had a snog and he said “you were my first ever girlfriend – we went out for three weeks – went to the cinema together etc don’t you remember that?”…….oops. Rubbish. Fancy not noticing that I was going out with someone.

Well I think you deserve a medal for raising your head up and putting your fingers down to tell us about your Saturday night adventures. I think hangovers come just so you can feel virtuous for not touching a drop for the next few days and drinking lots of water which you know is good for you and w helps to dilute the greenish tinge of the complexion and yellow of the eyes!! Be a bad mother and retire to your bed the youngest will probably love to rustle you up some food

Oh, how funny! Especially the seatbelt bit. I love it. Hope your head’s improved. Nowadays it’s a sad fact that the three-day hangover is alive and well… ah, age xx

Sounds like you had a great time – reservations aside.

I went to a 20 year reunion last year and sat up until some ungodly hour with a girlfriend (who hosted the event and graciously also had me to stay) disecting all the blokes – who looked older/better/fatter/same – and the women – majority of whom looked more attractive with age – but fortunately by then we were drinking water, otherwise I hate to think what state I might have been in later on.
