My youngest child has gone off on his school trip this morning for the whole week. Sixty kids and a couple of teachers. Who’d be a teacher? The complicated instructions they were having to write down about what each individual child needed, the box of medication and the huge box marked “coeliac food” which was overflowing….

What a strange week it will be for me. The older two are now so independent, I am going to find all my new found freedom rather strange.

He’s been packed and ready for about a week. Very excited. Writing endless lists for me, like the one below:-

I told him I’d send him a letter and he said “don’t bother mum, only real losers do that”. At least one small advantage of having divorced parents is that he is fairly relaxed these days at leaving his respective parents for a few days. I suspect he’ll be quite a help for some of the other more homesick children.

We said our farewells. All was well. Neither of us were upset. I hope he has a wonderful time.

I walked in the park with my friends. It really is beautiful there at the moment, although the female deer are a bit jumpy at the moment. It’s birth time. Here are some photos, especially for my friend in Australia, who is missing the park:-

Look what we found by the side of the road. Waiting for it’s mother to come back and collect it. Just the most gorgeous newborn deer:-

Lovely pictures! Our eldest girl has gone to See her god mother in Greece this week to celebrate finishing her exams. What a cavernous, quiet void she leaves behind.
