There’s a petition going around to ensure that frontline NHS staff are tested for COVID-19 as a priority. This is simply common sense and seems incredible that someone has to start a petition to get it done.
I know the government have agreed to start more testing again, but it is urgent that frontline NHS staff get tested. I know a nurse who is self isolating with all the symptoms and they have simply told her to come back to work after 7 days if she feels better. How will she know if she’s had it? What about her husband and her children? Won’t she risk spreading COVID-19 to other patients when she goes in if she is still contagious?
It is INSANE that the footballers are getting tested and our NHS staff are not. Perhaps now the footballers have more time on their hands they can join forces and set up a fund to help support our staff?
