OMG. How embarrassing. I have just been for a hospital appointment to have a mole checked out. The doctor asked me to remove my clothes down to my underwear and I said “no, that won’t be necessary, the mole I am concerned about is on my chest” but he said, “you will have to because I need to check your whole body” and I told him that I couldn’t possibly do that because I was wearing “the wrong pants”.

Unfortunately the above mentioned Dr was gorgeous, which made the whole thing even more embarrassing. “There’s no such thing as the wrong pants” he assured me “only pants or no pants” and I was thinking “there SO is. What about if I was wearing edible ones, or ones with holes in the wrong places?” – only marginally worse than turning up for a full body inspection in a thong. Honestly. How embarrassing. He said thongs were best because he could see my whole bottom (which was oozing over the sides of the table) and I was absolutely mortified. Yup. He could indeed see my whole bottom. Really, not a good look for a brightly lit hospital room.

Still at least it distracted me from my concern about a mole. FAR less relevant than showing your arse to a stranger. Anyway, he says all it is is sun damage from my years abroad (the mole, not my bottom).

God. Poor man.

Oh well. Hopefully he’s forgotten all about it now.

Oh I thought you were going to say they scrungy gross once-were-white-now-are-grey ones. Count yourself lucky it was a thong. Yes he probably is still thinking about it, but not in THAT way! Heh heh. Funny.

Or ones that come up to your waist – not that mine do. Cough. This is why I find female doctors. They understand these things.
