I am about to take my 17 year old son to do his theory driving test.  He has been working from a DVD and going through lots of test scenarios, choosing from a selection of multiple choice answers.

It is a bit of a worry though.  He keeps asking me questions.  They go something like this:-

“Mum, what do you think you’re supposed to do if old people are crossing at a zebra crossing?  Should you:

a) Rev your engine really loudly

b) Go across really fast before they get to you

c) Get out of the car and shout at them

d) Sit and wait patiently until they get across.

It’s not quite that bad, but some of them are…most of the questions, to be honest I don’t know the answer to either – all those weird signs and lines down the side of the road – can’t quite remember what they all mean.  Don’t know what a circular arm movement out of the window is compared to an up and down one – would NEVER do that – would look like total twat.  My son is completely horrified at how stupid I am.

This post made me laugh out loud. Despite being 36 I am due to sit my theory test soon. I have also been testing my parents and driving them mad with various questions out of th possible 1000! They think I am just showing off because I know all the answers (well most of them). Rather alarmingly they know very few and would fail if they took it today!

10 points is probably because they are going so slow – too easy targets

Lulu – I wish him good luck for the theory test 🙂 hope it goes well
