TOP 10 WAGS

My son was asked to participate in the first issue of his school sports magazine.  It has finally been published.  I was so proud that he had an article in there.  There was lots of interesting subject matter such as whether England are world cup champions, a review of the best and worst football stadiums, an interview with David Moyes and I had to leaf all the way through to the inside back page to find his article entitled “Top 10 Wags.”

It seems they conducted a survey amongst 200 football fans (when?) and have compiled their own list.

It starts off “stunning Abbey Clancy has been voted Football’s Sexiest WAG.  The blonde girlfriend of Liverpool and England striker Peter Crouch beat Cheryl Cole who’s the wife of Crouch’s England team mate Ashley cole into second place.”

Their list goes:-

I haven’t heard of half of those women.  They say “Sadly the poll won’t make pleasant reading for poor old Victoria Beckham, wife of LA Galaxy footballer David Beckham.  Self proclaimed top WAG Posh Spice, 33, limped in towards the bottom of the league at number 17”.  They’re SO ageist these young boys.

The entire article is littered with “gorgeous”, “stunners”, “sexy” and other such words – not really the calibre of subject I was expecting but hey…you’ve got to start somewhere.
