Completely gone off my lovely daughter – she is now wearing the same size bras as me and she’s only 12. I am not happy. I really had hoped to avoid becoming a horrid, jealous mother who tries to compete with her daughter and who gets cross that people look at her not me in the street and who may start going to nightclubs with her in short skirts. I must try harder to not wish I was as beautiful as her – but standing next to her looking in the mirror is no longer an option – she makes me look 150. Such beautiful, young skin. Now I’m beginning to sound like Hannibal Lechter. Not good. Must contact my two friends – one a dentist, one a doctor who are both offering to do botox injections. Bet it won’t remotely help – especially if they accidentally paralyse my face.

She was also not impressed with my blog readership figures (I was). “It’s not that great, mum, I had 100 hits on Bebo the first day I went on there”. Am now going to post a picture of her somewhere and pretend it is me.

I had an MRI scan this morning to check out my spine. My mother’s back looks like the Eiffel Tower now owing to a nine hour operation she had two years ago to support her spine with metal after the onset of scoliosis. I wanted to check that mine wasn’t heading the same way. Because it is Magnetic Resonance Imaging, I asked the radiographer at the end whether I would be magnetic and he said “no more attractive than you already are” ha ha, v.bad pun – I wonder how many times he says that during the day.

Ha! At least I’m still bigger than my daughters re: boobage size – but then, one is athletic and the other will catch up, I know.

And they’re almost as beautiful as I am – not quite though.

Backs – aaagh, be careful there – my back has been operated on and has been killing me this week. I blame work, what there is of it.
