From London we salute you.
It was a bloody amazing speech with a touching display of nerves at the beginning. Fingers crossed that he will be able to turn his amazing skills as an orator into concrete actions and impressive results. I am not convinced but I am hopeful. He is at least the most relevant leader America has ever and consequently his instincts should be far more finely tuned to what the world today requires.

My 8 year old said “I can’t believe that Obama is the first black thingy? Did you know that it wasn’t long ago that black people couldn’t sit next to white people ON THE BUS? Can you imagine how many of my friends I wouldn’t be able to play with if that was still the same? How bad is that??”
Isn’t that great. Look how far we’ve come.

January 20, 2009hear hear. And wasn’t it great to listen to an American President speak so effortlessly, eloquently and in such a relaxed manner (actually, I don’t know any ‘leader’ who can make a sentence flow like he does – puts Gordon Bumble-Brown to shame)…. The world now awaits his actions.
