Sorry, I don’t often do reviews for products, but I accepted the offer of a box to Barbie Megabloks to trial on behalf of my gorgeous little god-daughter who is a big fan and is having to spend quite a lot of time at my house at the moment whilst her mother helps me out with my kids (see previous commune post).
SO. My son helped her put it all together and her mother wrote the review for me:-
Review of Barbie Megabloks “Build ‘n style” Fashion Boutique and Convertible.
My five year old daughter loved playing with these Barbie Megabloks sets. From the moment she opened the extremely pink, Barbie emblazoned box I knew we were onto a winner. She eagerly opened all the little plastic packages and demanded that I help her put them altogether to create a Barbie Fashion Boutique complete with Barbie characters and even a Barbie car. Slightly nervously I looked at the instructions, usually in these situations I am completely rubbish and have to ask her sisters to help me but fortunately I had nothing to worry about as the picture based instructions meant that we could assemble the pieces together very quickly.
We managed to create a fashion boutique which even had it’s own hanging rails and shelving units with handbags and accessories to display on them. The Barbie figures can be dressed in skirts and hats which are all interchangeable. All in all the boutique is really exciting to play with as children can use their imagination to create all sorts of scenarios. My little girl loved sticking the stickers on to the different parts of the scenery and enjoyed working out which sticker belonged to which part.
I am delighted with the Megabloks sets and know that my daughter will enjoy playing with them alone and with her friends. The Barbie car is especially a big hit. I think one of the most appealing things about it is that it comes complete with figurines, accessories and stickers which is far more than you would get with other building block sets.
I highly recommend any mother of a young daughter who loves pink and who loves Barbie but most of all who loves making things and using her imagination should buy Barbie Megabloks sets.
