The pound has suffered it’s worst fall today for 37 years.
On this day in 1929 (Black Thursday) The New York Stock Exchange collapsed leading to the Great Depression.
However, on the same day in 1901 a 63 year old woman threw herself over the Niagara Falls in a barrel and survived.
So there’s hope for us all.

Well this same aunt is my (step) grandmother and I just found out that her cousin is Reluctant Memsahib’s mother so this is REAL 6 degrees of separation!!). Amazing isn’t it!
