What a terrible day I’ve had trying to amuse my daughter and her friend on Bondi Beach. All they wanted me to do was take pictures of the lifeguards that feature on the reality programme “Bondi Rescue”.

It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it:-

I have more, but am feeling the need to pace myself…..

Judging by the amount of Japanese tourists all wanting photos with the lifeguards, the programme is very popular. Apparently it’s in 50 countries now.

I was tempted for a minute there to get into difficulty myself – or at least send one of my children off to be rescued.

Great photos, sounds like you’re having fun there! We stayed at Bondi when we were on honeymoon nine years ago. It poured with rain the whole time, what a let down! We could see the beach from our hotel room though and the weather obviously didn’t stop the surfers. I might have to check out that programme though…
