So you see, it always pays to ask, because the new rugby kit my teenage son was asked to pay £150.00, has now been given to him for free. Result. Personally I think it is a fair result – he was the only one out of the whole team who couldn’t go on the tour and consequently should not be expected to pay for the kit just because they all want to wear their tour kit for school games. Obviously my ex disagrees. He thinks I should have paid.
Had a really busy day, teaching, dealing with a sick child and attempting to get things moving on the new house. I’m going to spend all weekend sorting it out and have now decided to move in on Tuesday night instead of Sunday night. This is because it is my daughters birthday on Tuesday and I’d like to get her room completely ready for her as a surprise. Then I am going to get her 5 really good friends to come round and have surprise cake with her. She’ll love that. This is all assuming that her father is happy to have them sleep here for two more days – I am quite sure he will want her to be with him for her birthday morning and I will get there at 7am as usual and she can open presents then.
My friend with shagtitus (cystitis) now needs me to accompany her to the STD clinic -she’s really worried. Great. I bet we get spotted by loads of people we know. I’m going to have to get a T-shirt printed saying “it’s not me, it’s her” with a big arrow pointing in her direction. Hopefully she’ll be OK. I think at our age, the whole experience of having sex with strangers (or virtual strangers) is so foreign that we are constantly worried about catching something hideous.
