The thought of the clocks going back next week is filling me (and I presume most of the rest of the country) with gloom. WHY do we still live in the dark ages (literally) and have to adhere to this outdated requirement from farmers? Or is it still relevant and I don’t understand? Please do tell me what the advantages are and why they outway the disadvantages for the whole country. I would be delighted to accept the situation. But at the moment I don’t get it. Surely it’s not good for any of us to have to walk home in the dark and I would imagine that it causes more accidents to cyclists and pedestrians? I just can’t see any value in it whatsoever.
In the meantime, my daughter at university has been sending me plaintive messages about how cold her room is “mum pleeeease can you buy me another duvet as my room is as cold as the outside. Last night I went to bed with wet hair and when I woke up in the morning it was all frozen and if you don’t buy it for me I might die of hyperthermia”. Good grief. Surely it’s not that bad. But as per usual she knows how to pull on my heartstrings and so of course I agreed to the purchase of another layer.
So what else? Oh yes, I’ve been away. On business to Greece. Not a bad work trip by anybody’s standards and we stayed in an amazing place,so it was impossible not to have a great time.
I’ll do a proper post on the resort when my computer is mended. It’s been taken away and I’m suffering from serious withdrawal symptoms and am feeling really sorry for my trusty computer man because over the week since it’s been absent I have turned into mad drug deprived person who has been texting him every two minutes asking when it is coming back. I think he’s now blocked me but frankly I don’t blame him.
In the meantime, here’s a photo summarising where we were:-
and the three of us on tour at a fabulous nearby castle:-
