Slightly embarrassing that Boris has become the first G7 leader to test positive for the Coronavirus, but then again it was fairly inevitable, given how many MP’s were recently diagnosed.
GET WELL SOON BORIS!! Hopefully he will continue to only experience “mild symptoms” and be able to get on with the job of leading the country through our public health crisis. To be honest, lots of my friends have been more than impressed with his leadership, unexpectedly so. I have gone from someone who despised him with a passion to wondering what it would be like to have sex with him….which, let me make clear I do not want to do, it’s just that I clearly he has a lot of sex and I have too much time on my hands, like most of us. Maybe he needs his own emoji!
Spent last night (Friday night!) playing games with my children. First we played Cards Against Humanity, which is revolting, but quite funny and then they attempted to teach me how to play Poker. I was a bit slow and clunky and kept asking all the wrong questions, clearly and they gave up on me after the first round (if that’s what it’s called). This was after I’d actually paid to have a whole poker set delivered to our house, so I’m feeling quite peeved. Rude. My son was mostly attached to his phone, his window to the world he knows and loves and kept shouting “OMG I’M SO BORED”….it really isn’t much fun for them to have to hang out with their mother of a weekend.
Clearly I have become a complete annoyance to my children. Living in such close quarters does that to you of course. My poor daughter is stuck with someone who is a technical disaster and I really want to know how to set up Zoom so that I can chat with friends and maybe try and do a Pilates class with them. She’s too busy to help. I keep asking….pretty sure that all she can here is “bla bla bla ZOOOOOM ng sgmsn ZOOM?, ngs ZOOOOOOOOOOM!!!” etc. She just rolls her eyes.
We have been doing lots of home cooking – well the children have. My son made flapjacks and my daughter has made not only a frittata, but a delicious carrot cake. We will be rolling out the front door when we are finally allowed back into the pubs.

Anyway, HAPPY SATURDAY EVENING EVERYONE. Haven’t decided how I’m going to annoy my children yet, but I’ll think of something! It’s only 5.30pm and my daughter has just asked if I want a gin and tonic!! I did say no, but then immediately changed my mind. Why not (wine not) …nothing else to do. I’ve got a House Party call with some friends at 6.30pm and then that’s it. NEED SOME IDEAS FOR SATURDAY NIGHT FUN.
Maybe we’ll watch a movie.
Maybe I’ll just have another bath.
Maybe I’ll just go to bed.
