HAPPY HALLOWEEN WEEKEND. Sorry it’s a bit late to say it, but I’m well behind in my posts owing to a very busy week.
My weekend consisted mostly of hiding in a darkened house avoiding children (mostly my own) who were all out at parties. I know I sound old and grumpy but my days of pumpkin carving are over for a minute. I’ve done years of trick or treating and given that all my kids are too old for it now, I didn’t really fancy sitting at home handing out sweets. So I went across the road and sat with a friend who was far more generous of spirit than me and relentlessly handed out sweets.
My youngest came back from a party with a handful of friends wearing the above scary contact lenses that we then had great difficult getting out. There was no way I could pick them out – it made me feel marginally ill so I had to hold his eye open whilst he plucked them out. They do worry me though – my brother told me they can really damage your eyes:-
My beautiful daughter off to a halloween party with yet more horrid contact lenses in:-
